#018: When You Think You Can’t Change
Learn an easy way to change a longstanding behaviour you thought you were born with.
What are you that you can’t change? That’s the question I challenge you to reflect on this week.
Everyone has things they tell themselves they are or aren’t. And we think those things are facts… I am not an organized person. It’s just faster if I do things myself. I’m a morning person. It’s hard for women to get ahead in this industry.
And in general, you can think whatever you want about yourself. It’s not a problem.
But this podcast episode is for people who DO think it’s a problem. They have something they want to achieve and the “thing they think they can’t change” is getting in the way.
Well of course the answer is to try and change, but for some people, it feels like an impossible ask. They think they’re working against their natural programming. They’ve tried to fake it ‘til they make it, which works for a while – but when they’re not focused, they revert back to what they think is their natural state.
This episode is for the smart person who can usually figure anything out, but can’t quite figure out how to change a longstanding behaviour once and for all.
